A purification unit was put ®n stream with the purpose to withdraw aldehydes from the highest grade of Ethylene Glycol. This event took place in the MEG-1 Facility of the Ethylene Oxide Plant at PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim.
Pilot-scale tests have shown that the quality of Ethylene Glycol meets requirements of synthetic fibers and polyethylene terephthalate manufacturers.
It is planned to install a similar purification unit in the MEG-3 facility. (nknh.ru)
