The Cabinet of Ministers’ first decree has made the first step towards the implementation of a simplified mechanism of drug registration in Ukraine.
“Without delay, the new government with its first decision has taken a step towards introducing a simplified drug registration mechanism in Ukraine. In particular, this decision regards pharmaceutical products which have already been certified in the U.S., the EU, Switzerland, Japan, Canada, and Australia. We trust these countries, and there is no need to do a long-term testing in Ukraine,” Hroisman wrote.
According to him, Cabinet’s approved immediate steps include shortening the term of examination of drugs, revising the limits of contracts as well as package requirements, so that medication cost for Ukrainians would be reduced.
“Demonopolization and deregulation of the pharmaceutical market will make access of quality drugs to Ukraine’s market easier, increase competition, eliminate corruption, and finally lead to reduction in prices. This is the path we will keep moving along,” Hroisman summed up. (censor.net)
